Spare parts logistics

Spare parts logistics are organised according to a very precise geographical grid, where the partner service centres, Leroy-Somer’s service and commercial subsidiaries hold stocks locally that suit the local needs of their customers, whether users or manufacturers.

These locally-held stocks are supplied by the manufacturing plants which have implemented procedures based on:

  • Guaranteed Availability (GA), consisting of parts held in stock
  • The Rapid Assembly Centre (RAC), consisting of parts deliverable within a short lead time, around 5 working days ex-Works
  • Manufacturing (MAN) for parts manufactured to order with a standard production lead time
  • Rush production (RUSH) which allows unforeseen emergency repairs to be handled with a priority to be agreed on a case-by-case basis
